Inbound Adaptive Automatic Protection

By default, DefenseWall closes the ports that are being used by trusted processes. For this reason, some applications may not function correctly as they require the port.

The "Allow port" function allows you to open/unclose ports, closed by the Automatic Adaptive Protection.

To do this:

Select Inbound from the tabs in the main firewall menu. (See Inbound Protection)

Select "Allow" from the tabs.

Select the correct list item from the "Allow" list. If you wish to exclude a network printer port, for example, you would select "Allow Network Printer" and the Adaptive Automatic Protection will configure the correct ports to exclude automatically. If you need to exclude a single port, just select "Allow Port" and select the port number that you wish to be excluded.
